My Story
My aim is to make every lesson feel inspiring, confidence-building, and genuinely enjoyable.
I strongly believe in the developmental and emotional power of music. It strengthens focus and memory, supports emotional regulation, boosts confidence, and offers a safe space for self-expression. This shapes my teaching approach: warm, adaptable, and student-centred. Every lesson is tailored to the learner’s personality and goals, blending solid technique with creativity, musical games, songwriting, and foundational theory to nurture both musical progress and well-being.
My own musical journey began over fifteen years ago, training under an RCM concert pianist who shaped my technique, expression, and love for the instrument. During my Psychology degree — part of which I spent studying in Groningen, Netherlands — I explored how music connects people across cultures and how deeply it intertwines with emotional and cognitive development. This insight inspired my path toward formal training in music therapy, which I plan to pursue in the coming years to further integrate mental well-being into my teaching practice.
For the past four years, I have taught piano, flute, guitar, harp, and singing to students aged 3 to 70 years, working privately across Maidenhead, Windsor, Marlow, Henley, Beaconsfield, Amersham, Gerrards Cross, and in a school in the Oxfordshire countryside.
